Lightweight Medical was incorporated in 2003 by Neil Farish and Neil Tierney, design graduates
from Glasgow University. They quickly won the Shell Livewire Young Entrepreneurs of the UK title
for their neo natal transport incubator. The company focuses on medical developments and works
closely with NHS. The long term aim of the company is to license their intellectual property
generated in healthcare equipment to UK product producing partners in exchange for a royalty

competitor allowing them to consolidate the manufacturing facility, increase, employment and

Nardini's of Largs required funding to allow a new management team to purchase the land and
building in order to redevelop Nardini’s cafe back to its form art deco glory thereby repositioning
the world famous cafe as a destination venue in Ayrshire.
